Eggs, The Perfect Protein?

I love eggs.  I love how versatile & tasty they are.  You can make omelets, scrambled eggs, egg sandwiches, and even bake with them.  They are one of the cheapest proteins around as well.  Just one egg contains 7g protein and 70 calories.  12 eggs usually costs less than $2.

I know what you’re thinking, don’t eggs raise cholesterol?  That USED to be the belief.  Yes, egg yolks are high in dietary cholesterol.  However, scientific evidence has concluded that dietary cholesterol does not promote raises in blood cholesterol.  Saturated and trans fats raise blood cholesterol the most.

So go ahead, enjoy your eggs and don’t feel guilty about it.  As always, eat them in moderation.  A few eggs a week won’t hurt.  They are great for breakfast and even snacks!
